The residents of New Jersey have been put on notice, as a bar in Jersey shore was closed for cleaning after an employee tested positive for Covid-19. Though it’s said to be a temporary close, it has brought more attention back to the devastating pandemic. It will serve as enough caution to civilians that are taking the situation for granted.
Bouncers have been taking action to limit the size of gatherings in bars. But all have proven to be ineffective, with various photos on the internet showing large crowds that aren’t practicing any form of social distancing. However, there is little to no information about the previous activities of the employee in question, with the bar manager silent on the whole situation.
Rules had been set for civilians and bars alike. Some of these rules included using a mask when less than six feet apart if there isn’t any consumption of food or drink. The use of masks is only dissuaded if they meet the required social distance and during the consumption of foods and beverages. It is also mandatory for employees to use masks all the time.
With that said, New Jersey residents are urged by the Government and Health officials to strictly follow the measures put in place by the C.D.C. and W.H.O to combat the invisible enemy and save lives. Governor Phil Murphy understands the frustration of New Jersey residents. Still, he explains that the government will nonetheless have to “tighten up” on laws to prevent further spread of the virus.
